RAJ SHIWACH, MD, MRCPSYCH

RAJ SHIWACH, MD, MRCPSYCH (UK) is a board-certified psychiatrist who has been practicing in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex for over a decade. He has completed psychiatric residencies in the UK and at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He serves as the Principal Investigator for InSite Clinical Research and is an attending physician as well as the Medical Director at Hickory Trail Hospital in DeSoto. His dual interest in both research and clinical practice distinguishes Dr. Shiwach among his peers, and he is held in high esteem by colleagues and patients alike. Personal interests include spending time with his wife, Sue and their five children. He also finds time to pursue his hobbies of reading, jogging, and collecting ancient artifacts.

Stephanie

Stephanie has been working for Dr. Shiwach since 2004. She is a certified nurse assistant and mental health technician. Her experience varies from front office, back office, and billing. She is CPR trained and has completed HIPPA training annually. brings over 20 years of experience in psychiatry and behavioral health specializing in patient intake, insurance verification also helps with prior authorization for medication cover my med "I manage both front and back-office operations, including scheduling, patient intake, insurance verification, and handling medical records. I also assist the doctor with clinical tasks such as preparing charts , taking vitals, and ensuring smooth patient flow throughout the day.

Emily

Emily, our New Patient Coordinator, brings over 7 years of experience in psychiatry and behavioral health, specializing in patient intake, insurance verification, and care coordination. As the first point of contact for our patients, she guides them through the intake process, verifies insurance benefits, and ensures a smooth transition into care. Emily is bilingual and uses her language skills to make all patients feel welcomed and understood. She is dedicated to providing compassionate assistance and helping every patient feel informed, supported, and comfortable from their very first visit. She is also certified for CPR and HIPPA.

Anita Shiwach

Anita Shiwach is a Physician Assistant that works in conjunction with the doctor to diagnose, treat and evaluate psychiatric disorders. She is a graduate of the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. Ms. Anita Shiwach also has a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, obtained at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Ms. Shiwach has been practicing as a Physician Assistant since October of 2018. She is nationally certified and joined the MDPA group in 2018 shortly after graduation.

CHARLSA PLACKER, MA, LPC

CHARLSA PLACKER, MA, LPC is a gifted group and individual therapist. She received her BS in Interdisciplinary Studies and her MA in Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary. Charlsa facilitates the Intensive Outpatient Group program, in which she leads discussion and expertly equips patients with the tools and knowledge necessary to promote their mental well-being. She also performs individual counseling services. Charlsa’s clinical interests include sexual abuse and trauma, mood disorders, anxiety, and addiction. Outside of the office, she devotes plenty of time to her close friends and two dogs, the latter of which are rescue animals. She is also a fan of good books and an avid consumer of Mexican food.

Osmara Rivera

My name is Osmara Rivera, and I am a Certified Medical Assistant, Certified Phlebotomist, and CPR certified. I am trained in HIPAA compliance to ensure the highest standards of patient confidentiality and privacy. My responsibilities include managing front desk operations, assisting with phone calls, scheduling appointments, performing laboratory procedures, administering injections, taking vital signs, and conducting urinalysis. I am committed to delivering exceptional patient care, supporting providers, and maintaining a professional, organized, and efficient healthcare environment.
